Members of Berkhamsted Local History & Museum Society have produced a wide range of articles of local interest in the pages of The Chronicle for over twenty years (some back copies are still available at £2.50 or £3). Alan Crosby, editor of The Local Historian, appeared in a video explaining the prizes awarded by the British Association for Local History (BALH) to authors of articles submitted to local journals. He commented: “The Chronicle is a fairly modest publication, it’s not big and glossy, it’s fairly modest and it has a relatively low budget for a small Society but it produces good work“. Since the Chronicle Contents were first published on this website, we have received many requests from all over the world for more details, especially for articles which highlight the lives of local families and social history. You can also enjoy highlights from the Chronicle Tailpieces.
